Contest Winners – Plein Air
Two area artists have won first, second and third place in the fifth annual Fall in Love with Ogden Valley Plein Air Painting Contest. One is from here in Ogden Valley and one is from Ogden. Stephen Henry of Ogden won both first and third places, while Jan Carlsen of Huntsville won second place. Additional works by Stephen Henry, Jan Carlsen, C.A. Allen (Eden), and Pam Brown (Liberty) received honorable mention in the contest. All of the Plein Air Painting Contest entries are now available for purchase. Support your local art community.
Contest Winners – Photography
Photographs by two photographers, Cariane W. Bowles of Liberty and Tami MacRae (formerly of Eden), won first, second, and third place in the Fall in Love with Ogden Valley Photography Day Contest. These three photographs, which are on display at the gallery and available for purchase as beautiful metal prints, were printed at the Iron Pine Company of Ogden.
Artists Reception and Awards Ceremony
Our Photography Day and Plein Air contestants, other gallery artists, and artist and gallery supporters are all invited to attend the Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony at the Eden 1900 Art Gallery on November 4th from 5 until 7 PM. The ceremony will be held for these and other featured Eden 1900 artists, gallery supporters, friends, and the community on November 4, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Prizes will be given out. This event is open to the public through free online tickets from Eden1900.com/ticket.
Now is your chance to take advantage of this opportunity and personally get to know some of our artists. They may be interested in creating specially commissioned works just for you. The reception and awards event will be a warm and casual get together. The gallery will have on hand delicious selections from The Lovin’ Cup Catering (Huntsville). A local amateur singer/guitar player, Sonja McCauley, will entertain us. This free event is sponsored by Eden 1900 LLC. Attendance will be limited to ticket holders for adequate social distancing.
